2. Privacy Modes and Consent
We use a privacy-mode system (full, GDPR, CCPA) and a consent banner to determine what is tracked.
2.1 Full mode
No analytics events are sent before you make a choice. The no-analytics option keeps analytics off; limited statistics enables aggregated pageview counters without a persistent visitor ID; full analytics enables detailed events. After choosing full analytics, the random first-party visitor ID is stored in local storage for up to 90 days to recognise repeat visits; its lifetime is not renewed on each visit. The ID contains no direct contact information.
2.2 GDPR mode
In every mode, no analytics events are sent before you make a choice. The no-analytics option keeps analytics off. Limited analytics records aggregated pageviews and basic engagement where available, without a persistent visitor ID. Full analytics enables pageviews, clicks and engagement and recognises repeat visits using a random first-party visitor ID stored in local storage for up to 90 days, without extending its lifetime on each visit. Session IDs remain temporary. You can change your choice through Cookie settings; this stops identified analytics and removes the browser ID and unsent events. Previously received events remain subject to our retention policy.
2.3 CCPA mode
The same three choices are available in every privacy mode: no analytics, limited aggregated pageview statistics, or full event analytics.
2.4 Limited statistics
Limited pageview records are stored as aggregated counters without a persistent visitor ID. Where enabled by the privacy mode, coarse engagement buckets are also counted. These measures support basic traffic reporting when full analytics is not selected.

4. Cookies and Browser Storage
